Is it easy to use?

It sure is. The website management tool is designed in a clear and obvious way, so it’s difficult to make mistakes in the first place. Our goal is to eliminate confusion and frustration for the user. Big buttons, DRAG & DROP interaction, no sub-menus, same-page editing features and clear in-line instructions throughout the application let you dive in and become an expert at managing your website in minutes. It’s so easy, but if you ever do get stuck, you can email us anytime.

What do I get?

When will my site be up and running?

Upon registration, it’s virtually instant. We use a simple, web-based approach, so there’s NO download, installation, or configuration required. All you need is a web browser and an Internet connection and you’re good to go. Within 24-48 hours of sign-up, we'll send you a welcome email with your secure login information to Parade Portfolio Management Tools. Once your content and galleries are created (your site will be located at a temporary location until you're ready to go live), just send us an email and we'll launch your site.

Can I customize my website?

You bet. We encourage our customers to keep things fresh and change it up. Customize your accent colors, blog, wordmark, music, and more. On our newest PRO templates, you can also change your backgrounds and fonts.

How much control will I have over my website?

How much does it cost?

What is the sign-up process?

Start to finish, the parade experience is quick, easy and convenient. It takes less than three minutes to purchase. Just choose your design. Press Buy it. Fill out the simple form...and you're done! We only ask for the essential information that we need to get your account set up successfully. Within 24-48 hours of sign-up, you will receive a welcome e-mail from us with your login information. You may then immediately begin creating and editing your website. Once your site is ready to go, just send us an email and we'll launch your site.

Is there a contract to sign?

Nope. We keep things as hassle-free as possible. After a one-time set-up fee, Parade is pay-as-you-go, with a low month-by-month subscription fee. No long-term contracts to sign. No termination fee. Switch templates or cancel at any time.

What does the price include?

The one-time fee is for the initial set-up of your selected website template. The month-by-month, pay-as-you-go subscription fee includes website hosting, UNLIMITED storage space, FREE domain registration, up to five email accounts, PLUS ALL Parade editing tools and features, including access to all new feature additions and ongoing updates and improvements.

What are the system requirements?

Parade is completely web-based and hosted at multiple world renowned data centers, so there is nothing to install and no server/platform requirements for you to be concerned with. A web browser and Internet connection is all you need.

For greatest results, we recommend using Firefox 2 as your Internet browser, as it has the best compatibility with the formatting controls. Go here to download Firefox.

NOTE: These browsers are only required to support the editing suite for Parade. Your clients and potential clients will be able to view your Parade site, no matter what browser they use.

What are the standard features?

With Parade, everything is included. Every one of our editing tools and features are included when you buy any of our template designs.

Can I switch website templates?

Absolutely. Change and an evolving sense of style is a great thing and we’re always coming out with new and exciting designs. As a Parade user, you can switch your template to another template in your collection, at any time for a $50 administration fee (assuming the new template is in the same collection as your current template). Your monthly subscription fee would remain the same at $35/month.

How many images can I display?

As many as you want. There are no limits. However, we recommend no more than 30 images per gallery for best viewing results for your users.

Do you offer splash pages?

Parade does not currently offer the option to use a splash page. Splash pages aren't widely used on sites that use newer, more progressive technologies (as is the case with Parade). In the past, the purpose of a Splash page was to give the user the opportunity to download the necessary Flash Player. Fortunately, this can all be done automatically now, so there is no real reason to keep the user one extra click away from your actual website. Our recommendation is to bypass the idea of the Splash page and take your potential client directly to your site and the information they're ultimately looking for.

Are your sites "Search Engine Optimized"?

Yes, Parade sites are search engine friendly. Our website management suite allows you to enter important metatags and keywords to help search engines properly categorize and rank your site.

How do blogs increase search engine rankings?

An extremely effective way to increase your search engine rankings is to BLOG. It's no secret that blogs are great for helping to boost your SEO rankings. You can use a blog to get a new site ranked quickly and ahead of your main site if you are dedicated to posting on a frequent basis. Because of the frequency of active blogs (daily - or at least 5 times a week) the search engines have put high weight on blogs that are focused and tend to stay on topic - search engines love fresh content! So use Parade's full-featured blog (included with ALL of our sites) to blog your heart out and you'll be rewarded on the SEO ranks.

Can I cancel?

Yes. There's no long term contract (it's just month-to-month) and you can cancel at any time.

Is there a set-up fee?

Yes, there is an initial one-time fee for the set up of your website template. After that, it’s month-by-month, pay-as-you-go. See Pricing.

What about security?

As outlined in our Privacy Statement, we take great care in safeguarding our customers' information. The Parade server is safely housed in a state-of-the-art secure facility with power and internet backup. Your access is password protected and we will NEVER sell or share your information. As an added measure, we advise our customers to take appropriate measures with your own user account.

Are there termination fees?

No. We don't charge termination fees. If you want out, you’re just a button click away. After the one-time set-up fee, Parade is pay-as-you-go, with a low month-by-month subscription fee. No long-term contracts to sign and no termination fee. Switch templates or cancel at any time.

What is your refund policy?

Parade is a month-to-month, pay-as-you-go service so we don't provide refunds. You are billed every 30 days. You can cancel the service at any time and you won't be charged again. You won’t, however, be refunded for any charges already incurred during the month. For example, if your billing cycle is on the 18th of every month, and you cancel on the 24th, you'll still have to pay for the current month, but you won't be charged again after that.

Is this a long-term commitment?

No. Parade works on a month-to-month subscription basis. You have no long-term obligations with us. If you cancel, you'll only be billed for the current month, and not again.

Is my privacy guaranteed?

Yes. We value your privacy. We will never give, lease, sell or otherwise disclose your personal information. Any information you give to Parade Portfolio Management Tools will be held with the utmost care, and will not be used in ways to which you have not consented. See our Privacy Statement for more.

Do you provide phone support?

Yes. We encourage you to send us an email for a prompt reply, but of course, we’re also happy to speak with you. Our office phone hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Mountain Standard Time.

Can I use more than one Promo Code?

You can only use one Promo Code per purchase.

How does the Promo Code work?

If you have access to a Promo Code for your Parade purchase, just enter it into the Promo Code field on the sign-up form when purchasing your template. The discount will be applied automatically and will be reflected on your credit card statement and email transaction receipt.

Are there any other fees I should know about?

After the one-time set-up fee, the only price you pay is a monthly fee of $35. There are no add-ons to pick and choose from because this low monthly subscription INCLUDES every feature and editing tool that we offer as well as any new features, improvements and updates we add to the tool.

Can I use my own hosting company?

Sorry, no. Parade is built using an agile, cutting-edge programming framework (which is what makes the user experience that we provide so much more intuitive and enjoyable than other applications out there). The advanced nature of the technology we use means that our websites can only be hosted by qualified is a recognized leaders in high-end hosting. They are fast and reliable, complete and secure, powerful and adaptable.

What if I already have a registered domain name?

We are happy to register a new domain for you free-of-charge. However, if you already have a domain name registered, we cannot provide credit towards your purchase. If you already own your domain registration, your welcome email from Parade will include special instructions on how to get set up with us in a few simple steps.

How will my email work?

Parade, now uses Google's Google Apps service.

Gmail is Google's innovative webmail service. With Google Apps, Google offers Gmail to entire organizations, with personalized addresses like jsmith@example.com. Each account comes with plenty of storage space for saved messages (up to 25 GB per account with Google Apps Premier Edition, with more on the way) and built-in Google search technology to quickly navigate through all of your mail, just as Google helps you make sense of the entire internet. Gmail also helps users manage large quantities of mail by automatically grouping related messages, so you automatically see a whole series of related replies all at once.

How much storage do I get?

As much as you want. There are no limits.

Does Parade work on Mac and PC?

Yes.

What types of payment do you accept?

Currently we accept Visa and MasterCard through our secure online payment system.

What do I need before signing up?

All you need is an idea of what you'd like your domain name to be, a current email address and a credit card (Visa or MatserCard). The rest is simple. Just follow the steps.

Can I pay a full year up-front?

Currently, we only offer recurring monthly billing, but we are working on providing a lump-sum payment method for those customers who would prefer this option.

How does recurring billing work?

You will be billed for your first month on the day you set up your Parade account with us. Your monthly billing cycle will then begin on that date and will happen on that date each subsequent month. (For example: If you sign up on Feb. 19, your first invoice would be on that date and you would be billed again on the 19th of each month for as long as you choose to subscribe). Billing happens at the start of each month of service (For example: Your invoice on Feb. 19 would cover your service from Feb. 19 to Mar. 19). Invoices are automatically emailed to the account owner every time you are charged.

How does my initial purchase appear on my credit card?

You will receive a combined invoice the first month, which will include the one-time set-up fee and the first month of the Parade subscription. Every month after that, you will simply receive an invoice for the $35 monthly subscription fee.

How do I cancel my account?

You can cancel your account at any time by selecting the "Account" tab from your Dashboard. Once you are on the Account page, click the "Cancel My Account” link. An email will be sent to Parade notifying us of your request. Your account will be cancelled and you will not be billed again. Note: There is no undo so if you cancel your account, all your data will be deleted and can not be restored.

What will show up on my credit card statement?

Your credit card statement and your email transaction receipt will reflect a charge from "Parade Portfolio Management Tools".

Which Internet browsers is Parade supported by?

How do I login for the first time?

Within 24 hours of sign-up, you will receive a login for your Parade Account. You must login for the first time with the username and password provided and then change your password as you are prompted.

Can I use more than one domain name?

Yes you can, you'll have to let us know about them after you've registered but we'd be happy to point multiple domains at the same account. This is a great option for photographers who use both a .com as well as a more localized name ending in something like .ca .co or .uk.

How many font choices do I get with the new Pro templates?

We currently offer a nice range of 15 fonts for you to choose from to customize your site. Fonts are being added all the time. Font customization is only available on the Leslie Spektor, the Damien Bird and the Justin Grohl PRO templates.

Do you have a "shopping cart" feature

Our templates do not currently offer a shopping cart feature, however, it is extremely simple to create external links within your Parade site. We suggest to clients wanting an online shopping cart or full-fledged proofing gallery, to create an external link from their Parade site that would direct their clients to another third-party application (such as Paypal or Pickpic) for those specific purposes.

Can I be sent an invoice each time I'm billed?

The account owner (the person with the credit card who set up the Parade account) is automatically sent an email transaction receipt every time their card is charged.
